Derrada Drama is a speech and drama and effective communication school , set up in 2004 by Angela Mc Hugh. Prior to setting up Derrada Drama, Angela completed a bachelor of arts in UCD, worked as a Chartered Accountant in Ernst & Young and as a Management Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Angela attended speech and drama from the young age of 5 years and has extensive experience in teaching, acting and directing in theatre. She has a Diploma and Licentiate with the Leinster School of Music and Drama. She has also completed a Diploma in Psychology – Training in Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT).

Derrada Drama host a large number of speech and drama classes for children and adolescents on a weekly basis. There are also Effective Communication, Presentation and Interview Skills courses on offer for both adolescents and adults. Private tuition is also available, where the focus is on controlling nerves, calming techniques and improving communication and presentation skills.  Junior CBA presentation skill courses are also on offer.

For the last 12 years, Angela has been delivering Drama, Communication and Well-being courses in Holy Faith School, Clontarf.  As part of Derrada Drama, Angela also facilitates and works in other primary and secondary schools performing various Drama, Anti-bullying, Well-Being and Communication workshops.

With vast experience in business, drama, well-being and communication, Angela set up Derrada Drama where students can learn drama and communication skills, not only to perform on stage, but more importantly to prepare them for the work-place and for every-day life.
